Students were assigned to create a new and innovative cover for a well-known book that captures the main theme from the choice of color and font. The guidelines included no usage of imagery or graphics. I selected The Giver, by Louis Lowry, and incorporated a dystopian style font, while including the colors light grey and dark red to reveal the book's message of the main character coming out of the dark and into the light on his societies corruption. The scale size for the letter 'g' is also enlarged to express that the society is enclosed and dystopian.
